To Rolling Stone magazine: Shame on you. I am a Vermonter and was once a maple syrup producer with my husband. You have a lot of gall in using a Vermont maple syrup can and a sugarmaker shooting drugs to highlight the drug problem in Vermont. What you published is an insult to the people of Vermont and to the maple syrup producers in particular.
As for drug use, the vast majority of Vermonters are squeaky clean, so your accusations are doubly insulting.
If you don’t publish a retraction and apologize to Vermont and its residents, I sincerely hope that you are hit with multiple lawsuits or a class action lawsuit. It is what you deserve.
