    Law school gets

    $500,000 donation

SOUTH ROYALTON — Vermont Law School announced Thursday it has received a $500,000 donation from an anonymous donor.

Given by a trustee who wished to remain anonymous, the law school said the unrestricted gift may be used to support any number of programs and initiatives at the school, from leadership and faculty development to scholarships.

“This generous gift is a testament to the donor’s belief in the work we do at Vermont Law School,” President and Dean Marc Mihaly said in a press release. “Unrestricted gifts give us flexibility. They enable the school to seize new opportunities as well as retain our small class sizes, top-rated clinical training programs, and talented faculty — all of which our alumni cite as key to their success in practice.”
