    Wayne W. Tuttle

    WEST RUTLAND — Wayne W. Tuttle, 81, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in his home surrounded by family and loved ones after a short illness. He was a resident of West Rutland for the past 20 years.

    He was born on Sept. 3, 1932, in Canaan, Maine, and was the ninth of 13 children. He was predeceased by his parents, Carlton and Freda Anderson Tuttle.

    His survivors include his children, David of Schenectady N.Y.; Perry of Proctor; Cynthia Race of Bennington; Jill Hackett of Middle Granville, N.Y., James of West Rutland; Brenda Morse of West Rutland; and Timothy of West Rutland.

    Also, he is survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

    He worked for 30 years in construction with the Albany, N.Y., local union, chapter 190. His life was all about his family and friends. He loved his garden and was an avid history buff.

    Respecting his wishes, no services will be held. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to either the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
