    Marceline K. Stratton

    WALLINGFORD — Marceline King Stratton, 90, of Wallingford, and formerly Rutland, died May 5, 2014, at Rutland Healthcare and Rehabilitation. On March 16, 1924, in Proctor, VT, she was the first born of Frank Louis and Alverta (Pockette) King.

    Marcy worked full-time for 50 years, retiring after 30 years from Tambrands in 1989.

    Married to Schuyler Skip Stratton Sr., June 27, 1943, they resided most of their married life at 181 Dorr Drive and were members of St. Peter Church.

    Marcy was well known and loved for her cooking and baking, most especially her baked beans and all the goodies that she made at Christmas time. Marcy will be dearly missed by all her family.

    She was predeceased by her husband on September 3, 1986; three sisters, Laura Trombley, Shirley Saceric, and Elizabeth King; a brother, Robert King and a son-in-law, Wallace Warren.

    Survivors include her eight children, Margaret Warren, Linda Meunier and husband, Andy, Joan Keener and husband, David, Schuyler Stratton Jr. and wife, Connie, Alfred Stratton and wife, Jean, Valerie Lanfear and husband, Harold, Michael Stratton, and Tammy Lattuca and husband, Joe; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred Mickey King and wife, Sandy; numerous nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

    The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, in St. Peter Church.

    Calling hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Tossing Funeral Home.

    Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association-VT Div., 300 Cornerstone Dr., Suite 120, Williston, VT 05495.

    Arrangements are under the direction of Tossing Funeral Home.
