    for Queens woman

    BRATTLEBORO Two women from Queens, N.Y., were arrested on Thursday and accused of trafficking crack cocaine and heroin, according to Sgt. Eric Albright of the Vermont State Police.

    In a news release, Albright said Iyana N. Figueiredo, 30, of Queens, was stopped around 4:30 p.m. for motor vehicle violations on Interstate 91 at the northbound lane of Exit 2 in Brattleboro on Thursday.

    Albright said police found she had more than 10 grams of heroin and 82 grams of crack cocaine.

    Figueiredo was arrested and lodged for lack of $50,000 bail.

    Her passenger, Trisha Duncan, 28, also of Queens, was arrested and cited for aiding in the commission of a felony before being released on a citation, Albright said.

    Figueiredo is being held on $50,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in Windham criminal court.
