BRATTLEBORO — Two women from Queens, N.Y., were arrested on Thursday and accused of trafficking crack cocaine and heroin, according to Sgt. Eric Albright of the Vermont State Police.

In a news release, Albright said Iyana N. Figueiredo, 30, of Queens, was stopped around 4:30 p.m. for motor vehicle violations on Interstate 91 at the northbound lane of Exit 2 in Brattleboro on Thursday.

Albright said police found she had more than 10 grams of heroin and 82 grams of crack cocaine.

Figueiredo was arrested and lodged for lack of $50,000 bail.

Her passenger, Trisha Duncan, 28, also of Queens, was arrested and cited for aiding in the commission of a felony before being released on a citation, Albright said.

Figueiredo is being held on $50,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in Windham criminal court.
