I am writing to follow up on a piece that was done regarding the renovation project of an apartment at the Women’s Network and Shelter. Lang McLaughry Real Estate’s Rutland office took on the project after one of our agents made us aware of the need and the folks from the shelter paid us a visit. It was an extensive project from wall/ceiling/cupboard repair to new flooring, painting and completely furnishing the apartment.

I wanted the public to be aware of two things. First, the enormous amount of time, money and effort put in by every one of the LMRE Rutland agents/staff — Karen Heath, Sue Bishop, Sandi Reiber, Leona Minard, Pam Stanley, Hank Fish, Bobbi Gudelis, Lisa Bora Hughes and Christina Gilman. Second, the generosity of our business community that made both monetary and in-kind donations. I would like to publicly thank those contributors that helped make our project a great success: Rent A Center; Andrew Shaw, Home Depot; Chip Gottlieb, Carpet King of Vermont; Disaster Recovery; Ellie Chiccarelli of Memories Forever; Godnick’s Grand Furniture; Jesse Martin, Birch Hill; John Ruggiero; Jon Gallipo, Kitchen Encounters; Lake Sunapee Bank; Mark Gilman, Rezolute Construction Services; Vermont Federal Credit Union; and Initial Ideas.

It was a wonderful project of which to be a part and all of us at Lang McLaughry Real Estate hope the Safe Harbor Suite is a place of comfort for those who reside there.
