BENNINGTON ó A Wallingford man pleaded innocent to felony charges after police said he drove drunk June 1 with 36 active suspensions already on his driverís license.
Theodore W. Thompson, 39, was arraigned Monday in Bennington criminal court on two felony charges related to driving under the influence of alcoho.
He also denied a misdemeanor charge for driving, for the fifth or more time, with a license that had been suspended for DUI.
Trooper Elliott Justinger of the Vermont State Police said he stopped Thompson for speeding early June 1 on Route 7 in Dorset.
Thompsonís blood-alcohol content was measured at .158 percent, almost twice the .08 percent legal limit for driving n Vermont.
Thompson was ordered to post an unsecured appearance bond of $5,000 and observe a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.MORE IN This Just In
