ROYALTON ó A Barnard woman was charged with drunken driving after a crash in Royalton.
Vermont State Police said Katherine McGovern, 22, crashed her 2003 Ford Focus into a railroad underpass on Route 14, near Gee Hill Road, at about 7:30 p.m. Friday.
McGovern was not injured, police said, but she was taken to Gifford Medical Center in Randolph for a precautionary evaluation. Then she was processed for driving under the influence at the state police barracks in Royalton.
Police said she was cited to appear Wednesday in White River Junction criminal court on charges of DUI and negligent operation.
