I wrote on lack of flag and or flag poles recently. Myself and others were very pleased to see someone stepped up and placed a flag a the PBA monument at City Hall. Very nice, more so because several of the names are those of not only department vets but have served in military for our country.

Sadly, as of last night, the Main Street Park still has no flag at all. With all the construction equipment in area it would be easy to place a flag, and I know the Fire Department would do it proudly. City police still go without flag or pole. Question remains, is the Rutland area what is has been proclaimed in the press or is it a proud, strong part of our country?
