    threat with a knife

A West Pawlet man has denied using a knife to threaten his brother during an argument.

Mark M. Prevost, 55, pleaded innocent Wednesday in Rutland criminal court to first-degree aggravated domestic assault with a weapon.

Prevost was released on court-ordered conditions, including that he not possess or drink alcohol.

Vermont State Police arrested Prevost after his brother, Keith Prevost, told police Mark hit him with a stick and threatened him with a knife Tuesday night, court documents state.

Police said the brothers, who have been sharing the home on Route 153, had been drinking alcohol when they began to argue over living conditions.
