HUBBARDTON — Visitors to Hubbardton Battlefield on Saturday will get a lesson in historical storytelling.
Authors Nancy Means Wright and Lee Kemsley will talk about their new historical novels set in early Vermont.
In Wright’s “Walking into the Wild,” siblings in 1782 look for their father, captured by the British. The book includes a chapter set at the Hubbardton Battlefield.
Kemsley’s book, “The Hunger Year,” is about adventurous Magen and the effects of the year 1816, when it snowed every month.
The event is set for 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $3 for adults, and free for children under 15.
Hubbardton Battlefield is on Monument Hill Road.
