    Water to be shut

    off soon in Proctor

PROCTOR — Work on a water pipe at the corner of High Street and School Street is scheduled to be completed before the start of school on Aug. 25.

To replace a pipe valve, water service will be interrupted at some point for residents on High, Pine and Church streets and Powers Square, according to town officials.

Other homes on the west side of town may see low pressure and cloudy water while the work is underway. The contractor will give 24-hour notice when the water will be shut off.

Town officials say the water department will notify affected water users once a work schedule is completed

High Street and School Street will be closed during the work.

Questions about the project can be directed to town administrator Stan Wilbur at 459-2501.
