    BRANDON — Norma Lee Young, 67, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at the home of her son in Brandon.

    She was born in Middlebury Nov. 14, 1946, the daughter of Robert and Virginia (Wimett) Dragon.

    She grew up in Ripton and had attended Middlebury Union High School.

    Ms. Young worked as an aide at Brandon Training School for several years and was employed as a waitress for many years at LaDuke’s in Brandon, later at Rosie’s in Middlebury and more recently at Cattails in Brandon.

    She enjoyed horseback riding and showing horses at Addison County Field Days.

    Survivors include seven sons, David Young Jr. of Pittsford, Tracey Young of Kentucky, Mark and Jeremy Young, Joshua Preseau, all of Brandon, Caleb Young of New York and Jason Preseau of Benson; a daughter, Kristin Preseau of Brandon; a brother, Clifton Dragon of East Middlebury, and a sister, Janice Munson of Middlebury; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    She was predeceased by a brother, Robert “Bucky” Dragon, and three sisters, Shirlene Malzac, Marjorie Clark and Barbara Barrows.

    The memorial service in celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon, followed by a reception at the home of Ronnie Preseau on Horton Road in Orwell.
