Norwich nursing program wins accreditation
NORTHFIELD — The nursing program at Vermont’s Norwich University has won accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education’s board of commissioners
At the same time the university’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies has renewed a grant to help repay student loans for students in the Master of Science in Nursing program.
Valerie McCarthy, director of nursing at the Northfield school, says the university and faculty are proud of the accreditation.
Meanwhile, the National Faculty Loan Repayment Program will provide over $133,000 to help repay student loans to those graduates who go into teaching upon graduation.
The grant is from the US Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration.
