WEST HAVEN — Voters will have a relatively short list of ballot items to decide Tuesday. The town has no contested elections. The highway budget is up from $175,115 to $193,712, an increase of $18,597 or 10.6 percent. The general fund budget saw a smaller increase, from $80,930 to $84,078, a change of $3,148 or 3.9 percent. The town is also seeking $48,000 for resurfacing, down from last year's request of $55,000. Other appropriations include $12,000 for the fire department, $2,640 for the Fair Haven Rescue Squad and $1,500 for Fair Haven Concerned. Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Community Hall.
