Request for Bids from Qualified Subcontractors and Suppliers On behalf of Shires Housing, Naylor & Breen Builders is requesting subcontractor and vender proposals from qualified firms for the Lake Paran Village housing development project. Located in Shaftsbury, Vermont, the project consists of the new construction of three (3) 6-unit family buildings and one (1) 4-unit building of one-bedroom apartments. The project includes demolition, sitework and amenities, asphalt paving, landscaping, fencing, concrete, metals, carpentry, insulation, air sealing, roofing, interior and exterior finishes, doors and windows, drywall, flooring, painting, manufactured casework, appliances, specialties and accessories, mechanical and electrical. Weekly certified payroll submissions demonstrating compliance with Davis-Bacon Wage Rates will be required. All bidders must be able to provide references upon request for similar size and type of project to demonstrate bidder is qualified to perform or provide the work being bid. Contract security in a form acceptable to the Owner and Construction Manager may be required and potential bidders shall demonstrate the ability to provide such security. The cost of such security should not be included in the bid. Plans, specifications and bid packages will be made available for review and/or purchase. Last day for questions concerning the project and bid date/time are to be announced at a later date. Minority-owned, women-owned, locally-owned and Section 3 businesses are encouraged to apply.
