CLARENDON - A North Clarendon man was cited after police said he was involved in the theft of two trucks stolen from Carrara's Concrete on Tuesday.
Samuel S. Dunn, 18, of North Clarendon, is scheduled to be arraigned Nov. 5 in Rutland criminal court. A statement from Vermont State Police said Dunn was cited for operation of a vehicle without the owner's consent, unlawful trespass and being an accessory to a crime.
The statement said police had been notified around 6:50 a.m. Wednesday that two trucks had been stolen from Carrara's sometime Tuesday night.
Carrara’s staff said a white 2017 Ford truck and a 2011 Ford truck were taken from the business at 167 North Shrewsbury Road in Clarendon.
Both trucks have been found. Police said the 2017 Ford truck was found on Wednesday morning on Allen Street in Rutland City.
Security footage from Carrara's showed two men on bicycles arriving at the site around 11:15 p.m. Both men were seen leaving in the 2011 Ford truck.
Police said their investigation found that Dunn was involved in both truck thefts. According to the release, Dunn was under a court order not to be at the Carrara's site.
Dunn turned himself in to Vermont State Police.
Police said the case remains under investigation and more arrests are expected to be made.
