PAWLET — Police said they have arrested Daniel Banyai.
According to state police, at 2:20 p.m. the Pawlet Town Constable encountered Banyai at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 133 in Pawlet. There was a struggle and Banyai was taken into custody.
Police said an investigation is underway and more information is to be released.
Banyai was wanted by police over a warrant for his arrest issued over the summer, then again in December by the Environmental Court stemming from his failures to comply with court orders to remove buildings associated with his Slate Ridge firearms training school.
