Lumberjack show set for Fair Haven

Brad Stevens cuts out footholds for a log that he’ll compete with Saturday during the 21st annual lumberjack show in Fair Haven Park. The competition will bring eight other men and six women competitors to the park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. Stevens, the event organizer, says there will be no chainsaws and competitors will use axes to complete three different cut competitions. “We use axes sharp enough to shave with,” he said while setting up for the show Friday.
