BRANDON — Water will be shut off Thursday on Pearl Street from Route 7. This includes the Post Office plaza, down to 39 Pearl St. and 2 Maple St. The service will be off from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a notice circulated by the Brandon Area Chamber of Commerce.

A new water main is being connected to the main on Pearl Street, according to the notice. This is part of the Route 7 Segment 6 project. It may cause some temporary water discoloration, but water quality shouldn’t be affected.

“We advise all users to schedule clothes washing and other cleaning projects at other times,” reads the notice. “The best place to flush your water is through an outside spigot or from your tub faucet.”
