Charlene Olivia Mortenson RUTLAND - Charlene Olivia Mortenson, 76, formerly of Pittsford, died Thursday evening, Nov. 1, 2018, at Rutland Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, after a long illness. She was born May 29, 1942, in Rutland, the daughter of Charles and Elsa (Mulberry) Hill. Charlene worked for 37 years at Hannaford Supermarkets as an inventory specialist. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her home was always open for those to stop in and visit. She loved to laugh and enjoyed helping others. Charlene is survived by her daughters Debra Lynn Corliss (John), of Proctor, and Linda Ann Fenton (Kevin), of Bomoseen; by her grandchildren Heather Lynn Fenton, Tara Olivia Fenton, Amber Corliss and Haley Corliss and by her great-granddaughter, Maci Lawner; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and by her brother, Alan Hill, by her sister, Janet Furman; and her special aunt, Helen “Howie” Mulberry, who lived with her for years. There will be no services per her wishes. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Vermont Affiliate at 300 Cornerstone Drive, Williston, VT 05495.
