The Herald’s recent editorial commented on presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ proposals to boost small family farms. It is interesting that, in health care, he has advocated for just the opposite. He has consistently pushed for more large, bureaucratic and costly community health centers, while ignoring the additional monopolization of health care by entities such as the University of Vermont. This monopolization has come at the expense of smaller, more cost-efficient and personal independent medical practices.
