Spectators lined Strongs Avenue looking for a show — and they got one.

An influx of up to 1,000 members of the Shriners Club from the Northeast and Canada for the Northeast Shrine Association Fall Field Days culminated in an elaborate and colorful parade in Rutland on a recent Saturday.

The parade, which began at 2 p.m., followed the Loyalty Day Parade route through the downtown, and featured Shriners from around the northeast and Canada. This is the first time the Cairo Shriners have hosted the event in Rutland.
